It was an exhausting doubleheader today as the ladies of No Coast took on # 8SC West Texas and #3SC Houston in bouts at the Southern Fried Smackdown WFTDA SC Regional tournament in Atlanta today.
Our first bout against West Texas was exciting as the Mad Maxines battled to maintain their 5 to 20 point lead throughout both halves finally pulling out a 30 point win with a final score of 109-79.
After a 4 hour break, the Mad Maxines faced the #3SC seed from Houston, the Hard Knocks, for their second bout of the day. Despite some hard skating in the second half, the Mad Maxines fell behind and the Houston lead made it impossible to catch up handing the NCDG a loss with a final score of 183-45.
Our final bout of the tournament will be Saturday, September 26, 2009 starting at 2pm EST against the Tampa Tantrums. This bout will determine the 7th and 8th Seeds for the South Central region. Be sure to tune in and follow the action! GO NO COAST!!
